About Jennie Dots

My name is Jen, and Jennie Dots Boutique has been a dream of mine for a long time. I have always had a love of boutique shopping, and I visit local boutiques where I live on a regular basis. I like finding thoughtful gifts for friends and family, and unique items for myself and my home too. My daughters and I are also big fans of shopping local boutiques when we travel. There is just something special that is found only in a small, well curated boutique that makes me happy. I usually try to buy something special from a boutique any time I take a trip. Those are the things that spark good memories for me.

Taking Baby Steps

While I have been dreaming of opening a boutique since college, I finally decided to get serious about opening my store in 2024. I decided to start with baby steps and dive into the online marketplace with a goal of a brick-and-mortar store in the next two years. My vision was for a small store that is full of cozy, cute, unique pieces that inspire self-expression and joy. Through exceptional service and a thoughtfully curated selection, I aim to create a shopping experience that delights customers and brings them back again and again. 

As a customer, I know how important it is to find quality pieces and to know that what you are buying is well made, so I am in the process of finding the best products that I can. That includes attending Markets, ordering and trying the products personally (I've had hits and misses), and collecting feedback and reviews from my customers. I want to know that what you are buying is something I would wear, decorate with, or gift to someone I care about.

How Jennie Dots was Named.

The name of my store, Jennie Dots, is a childhood nickname. There were lots of Jennies and Jennifers growing up so, out of necessity, the moms started giving the Jens nicknames. Mine has stuck with me, and my family still calls me Jennie dots every now and again. I actually love it, and I especially love it because I love polka dots.
